Cressida Borrett Ceramics

My work and where to find it

I work mainly in stoneware, making functional, everyday ceramics designed to be used and enjoyed.
Hopefully they are also nice to look at...

I am passionate about British crafts, their revival and survival, so source all my ingredients and equipment in Britain as far as possible.

I love throwing, so the majority of my work is made on the wheel although I also make handbuilt jugs, large slumped and molded dishes, tiles and and ceramic pictures.

Most of my current work is inspired by things growing in my  garden or Richmond Park, where I spend a lot of my free time. Also seed heads and other objects collected on walks at the weekends. I have a growing collection of found objects which I am experimenting with to make marks on clay. Having recently discovered a wonderful shop selling old letterpress letters I am also working on finding something useful to make with them.

If you are interested in my Glorious Mud ranges of tiles and maps you can find images on the What's New Page, or follow the link to

Where to find my work

I will be at  Craft in Focus Crowthorne and RHS Wisley in October and November  and will also  be at Landmark Sparkle and the Country Living Christmas fairs in November. At all of these I am trading as Glorious Mud (my other ceramics business) so if you can't find my name in their publicity that is why.

My work is also available from a handful of galleries and shops which I have listed below, or direct from me of course.
